How it works
All API calls are made directly from your browser — there is no PluseNews server fetching articles. This makes the app fast and private.
Articles are cached for 15 minutes in your browser's session storage. Switching categories fetches fresh articles; switching back uses the cache.
Results from each source are fetched in parallel with 8-second timeouts per source and 10-second overall timeouts. If one source is slow, the rest still load.
Deduplication removes articles with near-identical headlines across sources.
Bookmarks are stored in your browser's localStorage — they sync across sessions on the same device but are not saved to any server.
